All-Ages Step by Step Guide to Zentangle Drawing- Free Download
With the current pandemic keeping us all indoors, I decided to make my popular zentangle workshop a free download.
My all-ages, step-by-step guide will get you in the zone and feeling creative in no time! No art experience required, promise.
I’ve taught this exact art workshop at elementary schools, corporate events, libraries and galleries. I’ve found that kids and adults alike love it- I hope you do too.
In this workshop we will be drawing a version of this half-lion, half-elephant mural that I designed and painted. All you will need is paper, a thick marker, a fine-line marker or outliner, a pencil (optional) and an eraser (optional):
It can look intimidating at first, but when you break it down, it’s just a matter of three steps: drawing the general shape, drawing in guidelines and filling those guidelines with patterns.
In fact, here’s an artwork masterpiece created by a student. She drew this within a few hours with just paper and pen by following the instructions in this art workshop. You can too!

Here’s the cool thing: once you take this online art class by downloading the workshop here, you’ll be able to apply the drawing techniques to anything. Check out how I integrate the patterned art style into my 2020/2021 art collection:
